A NIGHT TURNED TO BEAUTY
As I sit here on a lonely night,
And the clock ticks on, out of sight,
The silence seems to scream out,
As though some one were about.
No night birds sing or even cry,
No need to stop and wonder why.
'Tis Late! And all are fast asleep,
Waiting for morning light to peep.
Then, beautiful blue will cover the sky,
The sun will be up; by and by -
To warm the chill that night has left,
And then, no coldness can be felt.
The dew washed the flowers; stem and bough,
And the warm sun dried them, as if a towel.
To make them ready for a fresh new day,
And to brighten hearts, along the way.
Clouds in the sky like fluffy snow,
Drift so softly and they seem to know -
God made this world and all it's beauty
Who, on earth, could have made it so pretty?Jay Cee ~~ ©
