A TRIBUTE TO MOTHERS

Mothers are God's creation,
Each and every one.
"Be kind to one another."
"Love thy neighbor as thy self."
Mothers are the glue and grit,
For battles that are won.
When you follow the golden rule,
Your life is full of wealth.
Be it war, as in the Army,
Or conflicts in the home.
It may not be from money,
Just lessons you learn in life.
Mothers may speak load, at times,
Or in a quiet tone.
Mothers seem to know these things,
Being a Mother and a wife.
Listen and love your Mother,
She'll teach you right from wrong.
Listen closely and respect her,
And to children, everywhere.
And, love her while she's with you,
For one day, she'll be gone.
There are Mothers who did not birth you,
But they raised you and they care.
Then, you begin to remember,
Just like the words she said.
We wish them love, peace, and hope,
There's no medal for them to have won.
So soft and sweetly, all those years,
As she tucked you into bed.
I hope, through our lives, they will see us,
As an asset to the job they've done.
