"SECRETS OF THE SEA"

Moonlight drifting along with the tide,
Changing the sand to gold,
While painting pictures in misty blue,
As silver waves twist and fold.

Washing the footprints from the beach,
When lovers pass this way.
Oblivious to the winds of time,
They hug, they run, they play.

As seashells are swept, to and fro,
The water caresses each one.
And as the sky turns a lovely red,
Goodbye - to the setting sun.

At evening times, when shadows fall,
Across the dunes and docks,
No seagulls soar or holler out,
Or sit upon the rocks.

The sea is different at this time.
And sea oats drop their head.
The moon keeps watch until the dawn,
As the sea slips out of bed.

And frolicked along the seashore,
Skimming the virgin lands.
Touching, with moist fingertips,
As waves spread out like fans.

Alas! The crack of dawn is heard.
And the sea crawled back inside-
To her bed of sand and seaweed,
And gave in to the morning tide.
